My new toy

YIPPEE...I finally bought a wide format printer.  I can't wait to start printing some of the digital paper I've been collecting.

Isn't she a beauty....

I've been wanting one but couldn't justify the expense.  Well, I needed a new printer for work and decided to buy this one for me and take my photo printer to the office (okay, that's just downstairs but you know what I mean).  I love my old photo printer that I've had for like 12 years.  But man oh man, I can't wait to play with this one.

It'll print up to 13" wide, it faxes, copies, scans and prints.  AND it is wireless on the internet.  Now how great is that!!  Plus it looks really cool :D

Okay, I'll quit gushing.  Now I'm going to try to print wirelessly from my laptop to 12x12 cardstock.  Wish me luck!!

Thanks for stopping by and indulging me in my gushing!  Susan

Good Morning!

Sitting here listening to Mandisa sing GOOD MORNING!

I've been up since 6:30...which is early for me.  I started this week working out at 6:30 am - ugh - okay, it's only been one day but I'll go again tomorrow.  Anyway, I woke up this morning at 6:30 and figured I might as well get up.  I got some cards made that need to be sent today.

Here are couple:

I love my titles.  I've been looking for a "cheap" label maker and found one at the thrift store!  I'm loving my finds at the thrift store.

Okay, gotta head to work.  Enjoy your day and thanks for stopping by.  Susan

Pizazz - OWH Blogskip

I really enjoyed the blogskip - lots of great ideas.  Here is a card I CASED for my MIL's b-day this week.

It was super easy and I think really cute!

While I was in my scrap room, I got some cards done to send to Operation Write Home:

These were inspired by Stacey's Creative Corner

Joined the YMCA yesterday and have been there twice.  A friend and I are going to workout 3 mornings a week and in two weeks we start water aerobics.  Excited about that!

Layouts from Saturday's Crop

Here are the first set of pages.  The first page is from our trip to Detroit.  My Dad was living there and running a motel.  We weren't going to stop because...well, it was awkward.  We went anyway.  I'm so glad we did.  My Dad passed 2 months later.

I rarely do pages focused on my husband so I thought I'd take some of his work pictures and do a page.

OWH Challenge

I completed two cards today (well, multiple of those two) along with some scrapbook pages.  We spent all day Saturday scrapping at church.  I'll show those pages throughout the week.

Here are my cards.  This first one is for the Operation Write Home Challenge today.

I hope you have a great week.  Thanks for stopping by.  Susan

Patterned paper

I needed a piece of patterned paper for a layout for our visit to the Dayton Air Museum and didn't have the right piece.  I didn't want to head out to Michaels or Hobby Lobby because I knew I'd buy more than one piece of paper ... face it, that's like going to the store to buy a gallon of milk - you know we leave with so much more!

Then I remembered the stamps my hubby bought me for Christmas.  I used the dotted one for the background and then used a thrift-store find (a fabric stamp) for the flag.

I think it came out pretty neat.  Tomorrow is my church crop so I'll post the finished page next week sometime.

I am finishing up my page kits for tomorrow and then I may go to bed early.  These hot flashes and going to the bathroom 3-4 times a night is wreaking havoc with my sleep!

Thanks for stopping by.  Keep your heart open - you can change a heart with your creativity.  Susan

More cards today

Yeah, I got in my scrap room for a couple more hours today.  Here are some more cards I made.

This first card was inspired by Stamping Bug Blog.  I never thought to use these borders this way.

I saw a card on SRM Stickers blog that inspired this one.  Love brown and pink together.

My nephew is having some health issues and will have to go to the Cleveland Clinic for more testing.  I made this card for him based on one I found at Our Daily Bread.

I hope your weekend was relaxing...although I could use a few more days!  Keep your heart open and let your creativity change someone.  Susan
