Prayer Shawl

Too many people are suffering...I've just finished my third prayer shawl in 2 weeks.

Please lift up in prayer my sister-in-law Dianna and my brother Chris and their daughters Jessica and Amanda (and their families).  Dianna has Stage 4 stomach cancer which has spread to her liver.  She is in a lot of pain and is rethinking going through chemo.

A friend from years ago has Stage 2 breast cancer.  Nancy is going through treatment now.

A new friend from church Christina has cancer as well.
I wasn't sure about this pattern when I started it but after completing it and doing a second one, I like it.  I think it would look even pretty, more lacy with a cotton thread.  Hmmmm...I may have another project to get started on.

On a lighter note, I'm heading out for a 3-day scrap event.  Leaving tomorrow morning to shop at Pat Catans and Scrapbook Haven on the way to Berlin Hotel in Millersburg where we'll scrap Friday afternoon, all day Saturday, and part of Sunday.  I hope to have LOTS of pages to post over the next week or so.

Enjoy your weekend and thanks for stopping by.  Susan

Happy Birthday...

...to my Son.  He is 23 years old today and I'm so proud of him.

I found this picture on facebook or Pinterest and immediately thought of my Son.  He is strong.  Happy Birthday, David - you are my favorite!  Love, Mom

Cards 2-2-13

I've enjoyed an afternoon in my scrap room; however, my house did not get cleaned!  Maybe tomorrow.

Thanks for stopping by. Keep you heart open, awesome things will happen. Susan

Cards 2-1-13

A great way to start the weekend - up in my scrap room.  I made two cards this evening.

I got some new Martha Stewart punches and wanted to play with them.  Her punches may be a little pricey but they sure are quality.  I may make a trip to Michael's this weekend for a heart punch.  I have to cut my larger hearts on the cricut because my largest heart punch is only 1".

Thanks for stopping by.  Enjoy your weekend and stay warm (if you are in a snow area).  Susan
