Layouts this year

It's been busy, busy this year.  I was working on a scrapbook for my niece's guy.  He graduated from medical school and she wanted to chronicle the years he's worked so hard.  She loved what we did (my sister helped too) and kept sending us pictures.  32 came a week before we were to give it to him.  She really had no idea how much work goes into a page...but we did it, and it was all worth it when he saw it.  He was speechless and you could see how much it meant to him.

Here are some pages I've done for my book.
I'm going to be a Grandma this year (in September) and this is the card my kids got me!  I did the page before I remembered I wanted to put the card on it.  Should've changed the orange for pink!

I've recently bought a Cuttlebug and got a great deal in a FB group for a ton of dies.  Gotta start playing with it more.  And I'm working on baby pages for my book and my son/daughter-in-law's book.  I think I'll do a brag book for her mom too.  I'm gonna keep busy!

You'll see less cards here.  OperationWriteHome.org is wrapping up their mission since the demand for cards has reduced considerably.  Our military is going home and she has decided not to redirect her mission.  So until I find a new organization to support, I won't be doing many cards.  I have all the birthday cards ready for my family for the coming year.

Weekend project

My son got married almost a year ago. I made them a wedding book but never did my pages. This weekend a friend and I holed up in a hotel room and scrapped all weekend. Here are some of the pages I got done. I did make other pages but I gave to my sister before taking pictures of them.

Baby cards

My DIL asked me to make a baby shower card today. I couldn't decide which one I wanted to make so I made the both!

Birthday cards

Today is my son's 25 birthday.  Wow...I'm not old enough...but my body tells me something different :)

Here is the card I made him, and one for daughter-in-law whose birthday isn't until September.
This the first time I used the die cut for the background.  Yes, I know I'm supposed to cut it completely out but I wanted more white in the background.  I need to do more cards like this...and maybe even do a background on 12x12!

And look at all that sparkle.  My sweet DIL does not appear to be the girly-girl but she is at heart.  She likes the bling so I made the background sparkly.  I sprayed the card with adhesive and then pressed it into the glitter.  I'm quite pleased with myself.

Now, one more birthday card to make for this year and that's for my husband.  But I have until March....so what's the hurry.  I'm sure the hour before we go to dinner, I'll be in my room scurrying!

Thanks for stopping by.  Susan

Christmas cards

Sorry for the overload today.  I realized that I never posted by Christmas cards.  This first one is the card I sent out to family/friends.  The snowman I made for my Bible Study friends.  And the stockings held money for my son and daughter-in-law.

I hope your Christmas was filled with family and friends and wonderful memories.  Susan

More cards

I decided that this was the year I was going to send birthday cards to my family.  But I knew the only way it would work would be if I got them all ready at the beginning of the year.  I have a shoebox full of cards with envelopes addressed and a list of birthdays with my calendar so I get them out on time!

More Pages

I got some pages caught up from last year.  I'm almost there...to where I'm scrapping just current stuff.  Well, I still have to scrap my son's wedding from April 2014...and I have some heritage pages to get done...and I have older pictures to do.  But other than that...okay, I'm not really almost there!!
