James 1:1-8 was my devotion for yesterday.

Verse 5-6 - If any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to him. But when he asks, he must believe and not doubt, because he who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind.

God wants us to understand His Word. He wants us to know what His message is to us. Ask for wisdom. He'll be happy to give it (in fact, we have His Word on it). But don't doubt. If you are going to ask God for something, have faith, have courage, have belief. Believe He wants to give you what you ask - otherwise, don't ask!
