These are made from crochet cotton - very thin and using a very small needle. Amazing I can do it with my big fingers! That's a nickel in the middle just to give you a reference to the size. They are around 1.25" across.

Starting a new week
Took today off to recover from the scrapping retreat! Thought I'd some finish work on some of the cards I worked on...but instead I spent the day relaxing and reading.
Gazebo and pond just outside our room and scraproom at the hotel. Very pretty. Wish I had this scene in my backyard.

cards 3-20-10 - at Retreat
I scrap-lifted this one! I was given a card from the bottom of a bag :) and I copied it. Of course, most of my designs start out as a copy of someone's idea but ends up all mine. This one is exact except for the paper/colors. Thanks Andrea.
My friend Pati gave me the tiny file folders. The cards inside say "just for you".

My Lifetime Story - favorites
Sometimes reminiscing is a joy and sometimes it brings pain. Finding the picture of Mom and Aunt Evelyn brought a smile through the tears. I miss them both.

Scrapping Retreat
One more day of work and then it is off to Berlin, OH for a scrapbooking retreat. I'm looking forward to 3 days dedicated to scrapping. I have pages to do for albums and lots of ideas for cardmaking.
I'm also looking forward to spending time with my good friend Pati and making new friends!

Life changes - some good, some bad
Sometimes you don't know how you touch another's life or how they touch your life until they are gone from your life. I miss old friends...miss laughing, talking, crying, having fun with them.
Here is a card I did tonight. Love the peach and blue together. Started with the ribbon (light blue with peach dots) and found the papers to match. I think I need to break out some of my patterned paper and stop using solids!
Looking forward to the scrapping retreat. Should get a lot done ~ printed out my pictures, etc for my Lifetime Story layouts. I've got the last two weeks' to do and hopefully this week's will be posted early and I can get pics printed before I leave Thursday!

Parent Trap - original
Love this movie. It is awesome enjoying the evening home with Brad and watching a classic.

Rescued by John Bevere & Mark Andrew Olsen
I just finished reading this book for book club. Wow...it opened my eyes.
I was so upset with the main character and his church that halfway through the book, I almost put it down and refuse to finish it. But I knew the person who recommended it wouldn't ask us to read something that wouldn't give God glory. So I pushed through.
My eyes have been opened. My heart has been stirred. My life has to change.
I don't want to go into detail because I don't want to spoil the ending for any of my book clubbers who haven't finished it yet. But any one who is lethargic or distant in their relationship with God should read this book.

Cards 3-2-10
I got some new ribbon in the mail and bought a couple of stamps at Michaels and just had to make some cards tonight. Loving my embosser!
